Hi race fans,
at the Oldtimer Grand Prix on the Nürburgring I got the chance, on short notice, to drive a Kremer prepared Porsche 911; now I will have that opportunity again at the 27th International Oldtimer Festival on September 10-12, and again on the Nürburgring. This month I will make my return to the ADAC GT Masters where I won the first race of 2007 with Alexander van der Lof in the ARGO Racing Lamborghini.
At the Nürburgring sportscar festival, the FIA GT1 World Championship weekend from August 26 to 29, I will be sharing the venom green Dodge Viper with Christopher Brück. This car, entered by Team Vulkan Racing Mintgen Motorsport from nearby Mayen which usually runs it in the VLN Endurance Championship on the Nordschleife, will bring the car to their home event on the Nürburgring and also to the series' season finale at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (October 1-3).
It is good to have the Viper back in the ADAC GT Masters. The car is absolotely a welcome addition to the series. The Vulkan Racing team and Michael Mintgen have put much effort and technical know-how into the car, and turned the Viper into a real competitor."
Another cornerstone of my calendar is the 12hr race at Budapest where I will try everything to duplicate the success we had in the Dubai 24hrs at the beginning of the year.
In spite of the victory in the Le Mans Series in Spa-Francorchamps, I currently am no longer involved with that particular project. However, I am working hard on a LMP2 project for the coming season in the Le Mans Series. There just might be a first test run at the end of this year in the American Le Mans Series. Please keep your fingers crossed - see you at the races!
